Thuja occidentalis, known also as white cedar, easter white cedar or thuja oils.

Small to medium size tree belonging to the cypress family, up to about 20 mtrs. high. There are many cultivated varieties. Parts used are the fresh leaves and twigs, getting the cedar leaf oil is obtained by steam distillation. Can be found in North America and Europe mainly. Oil could be produced all through the year.
