Cypressus Sempervirens.

High tree, reaching sometimes the 25 mtrs. long, having leaves and branches from the bottom until the top, with maximum a couple of meters wide. This tree is presumably originated in the eastern Mediterranean countries, primarily cultivated as windbreaker on the coasts of Spain, South France, Portugal and Italy.

The essential oil is distilled from the leaves (needles) and twigs, by steam distillation. Possible to produce all through the year.
