White
Thyme Oil is a pale brownish red, slight orange red
or mild grayish brown liquid, rich and powerful, sweet
and warm herbaceous in odor, somewhat spicy and distinctly
aromatic.
There
are so many types and species of thyme, but the most
used one is the Thymus vulgaris. Erect evergreen subshrub
with numerous white, hairy stems and a woody fibrous
root, up to about half a meter, native from South
Europe and extensively cultivated in Spain, Portugal
and Greece.
